Roundup Ready Alfalfa EIS Comment Period Now Open

 Comment on the Roundup Ready® Alfalfa Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)—you only have until February 15.
In June 2005, Roundup Ready alfalfa (RRA) was deregulated and planted on thousands of U.S. acres. In 2006, a Federal Court lawsuit prompted a ban on the sale and planting of RRA until the completion of an EIS. This court-ordered EIS draft is now available for your comments and review on the USDA Web site. As an American producer, it is important for you to share your opinions with the USDA.
